Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the Dean of the School to bolster 十大电子游戏平台’s reputation with external constituencies, such as alumni, donors, prospective students, and citizens of the local, state and global community.  They do this by assisting with events, participating in efforts to build philanthropic support, and promoting the School in their personal and professional networks. In serving as an ambassador, students gain a greater understanding of the School and its priorities and have access to exclusive opportunities to interact with notable alumni and donors throughout the year.

2022-2023 Ambassadors

Morgan Aspinwall
Majors: International Affairs; Double Dawgs Master of International Policy

Morgan transferred into UGA as a sophomore in the fall of 2020. Despite being from Georgia, she attended boarding school in New Hampshire and Bard early-college. In fall of 2021, she was admitted into the Double Dawgs program, allowing an earlier start towards a graduate degree in International Policy with a concentration in human security. While in Athens, she is a member of Alpha Delta Pi and served as their Chapter Foundation Ambassador. Morgan is also a member of the Tau Sigma and Order of Omega Honor Societies. As part of the Washington Semester Program, she interned with I Have the Right To – an organization dedicated to preventing sexual assault and abuse in schools as well as lobbying for legal definition of consent. She plans to continue working with that organization through her time at UGA. Morgan intends to complete law school before pursuing a career in international conflict.

 

Alimata Bah
Majors: International Affairs and Political Science

Alimata Bah is a first-year Honors student and International Affairs and Political Science double-major. In her short time here at UGA, she has participated in a few organizations such as Muslim Student Association and Xtention. In addition to serving as a first-year senator with the Student Government Association, where she works on legislation that provides and recognizes the needs and the importance of minority students here on campus. One huge thing that led Alimata to be an 十大电子游戏平台 ambassador is the need for more representation for minority students on campus. Alimata expresses that representation is important. That representation opens doors for incentives, it opens doors to sharing many different life stories, and it allows for inclusion, equity, and diversity. To her representation is a door that leads to many more doors. So through her time as an ambassador and as a student here on campus, it is of her greatest interest to become a voice for those students. Once she graduates, she plans on attending law school with the hopes of becoming a criminal justice or human rights attorney. Outside of school, Alimata enjoys things such as reading, watching anime, and taking landscape pictures. She is looking forward to serving 十大电子游戏平台 and connecting with her fellow student body as an ambassador!

 

Eli Banzon
Majors: Political Science and Public Relations
Minor: International Affairs

Eli Banzon is a third-year student from Alpharetta, Georgia majoring in Political Science and Public Relations with a minor in International Affairs. At UGA, he is actively involved with the Public Relations Student Society of America, the Catholic Center, and the Filipino Student Association. He is a returning 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador and looks forward to continuing to work closely with the 十大电子游戏平台 student body, staff and alumni. In the summer of 2022, he will be studying abroad in Italy with the 十大电子游戏平台 a Firenze program. After graduation, he currently hopes to pursue a Master of Public Administration and a career in political communications or public affairs.

 

Vivien Beadle
Majors: Political Science and Criminal Justice
Minors: Sociology & Law, Justice, and The State

Vivien is a senior from Canton, Georgia double-majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice. After graduation, she hopes to attend UGA law through there Georgia Scholars program with hopes of becoming a prosecutor. Vivien is also the Vice President of Inclusion in her sorority, Pi Beta Phi. Outside of the University of Georgia, she has interned with Historic Athens, her local District Attorney’s Office, and Partnership Against Domestic Violence. During Summer 2022, Vivien will be doing a study abroad in Oxford, England where she hopes to have the opportunity to become immersed in their culture and learn valuable skills she will use in her last year at UGA as well as the 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador program. Vivien is passionate about issues related to Criminal Justice and politics such as criminal justice reform and the death penalty. This will be her first year as a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador and is excited to make a lasting impact!

 

Jarrett Broome
Major: Political Science

Jarrett is a second-year student from Valdosta, GA. She is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science with a minor in Religion. Upon graduation from her undergraduate studies, Jarrett hopes to attend law school. Outside of her academic pursuits, Jarrett is an active member of various campus organizations and the community at large. Jarrett serves on the Executive Board for her sorority, participates with UGA Miracle, and was recently selected to be apart of Athens Church’s Leadership Development Program.

 

 

Caroline Carr

Caroline Carr is a second year student from Charlotte, North Carolina. She fell in love with the world of International Affairs in high school, and was excited to become a part of 十大电子游戏平台. Caroline hopes to attend law school after graduation and study international and human rights law. Ella Carver
Major: International Affairs and Spanish

Ella Carver is from Marietta, Georgia and she is double-majoring in International Affairs and Spanish. She expects to graduate in May 2024. She is currently involved in many organizations on campus including UGA Votes, UGA Miracle, and Food2Kids as well as serving as the Risk Management Chairman for her sorority. After graduation, Ella hopes to attend graduate school to pursue a Masters degree in the fields of security studies and/or foreign policy. Liliana Chanler

Liliana Chanler grew up in Atlanta, a city renowned for its civil rights leaders that helped transform American civil liberties and culture. Inspired by Atlanta’s history and societal impact, she volunteered for various local political campaigns and nonprofit organizations which further led to her enthusiasm for public policy and administration. Liliana is currently in her fifth year finishing up a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with minors in Global Health and Spanish, and a master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy through the Double Dawg program, Class of 2023. De’Omini Daniely

De’Omini Daniely is a third year, undergraduate student from Macon, Georgia. She is double majoring in International Affairs and Political Science with certificates in GLOBIS, Entrepreneurship, and New Media. Her aspirations in life are to become a Lawyer and practice Immigration & International Law. She currently works as an Intake officer for the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity where she works directly with the agency to evaluate intake cases. She is also a member of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, Abeneefoo Kuo Honor Society, Tri-Alpha First-Generation Honor society and various other campus organizations.

 

Kelley Downes

Kelley Downes is a senior from Atlanta, Georgia majoring in Political Science and minoring in International Affairs and Law, Ethics, and Philosophy. She is also pursuing the Applied Politics Certificate. After graduation, Kelley hopes to attend either law school or graduate school. During her time at the University of Georgia, Kelley has been involved with UGA Mock Trial, Miracle, and the Washington Semester Program. Anna Ferencie is an International Affairs major with a minor in Spanish. She expects to graduate in May of 2023. After graduation, she plans on attending UGA grad school for Public Administration and Policy. She hopes to work for a university or in a non-profit setting in the future. Gideon Fernald

Gideon Fernald is currently a second-year from Norcross, GA. He is majoring in Political Science, International Affairs, and Economics with a minor in Military Science and is expected to graduate in May 2024. Gideon currently serves as the Greek Liaison and Alumni Chair of his fraternity Beta Upsilon Chi, the Greek Life Outreach Director of the College Republicans at UGA, a CrossTrainers Mentor at the Wesley Foundation, and is also a member of UGA Army ROTC’s Bulldawg Battalion as well as the Order of Omega and Omicron Delta Kappa. After graduation, Gideon hopes to attend law school in order to become a constitutional lawyer and work in the legal side of politics while serving as a Military Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve.

 

Ally Huels
Majors: Political Science and International Affairs
Minor: Public Policy and Management

Alexandra (Ally) Huels is a junior at the University of Georgia majoring in Political Science and International Affairs with a minor in Public Policy and Management. She is involved in the American Society of Law, Medicine, and Ethics, in which she serves as the Public Relations Coordinator, she is a Staff Writer for the Georgia Political Review, and she is currently working as a Student Researcher at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Ally worked as a Congressional Intern at the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. this past summer where her passion for the political sphere grew substantially. After graduation, she would like to work for the government for at least a year prior to attending law school where she will study to become a corporate lawyer.

 

Peyton Jenkins
Majors: International Affairs and Journalism

Peyton Jenkins is interested in pursuing a career in Washington D.C. with a specialization in policy creation surrounding foreign affairs, energy and domestic affairs. As an International Affairs and Journalism major, Peyton is well versed in writing and analyzing legislation surrounding foreign affairs and security. In the summer of 2021, Peyton had the chance to live in D.C. and work for a think tank specializing in energy and regulation. She had the opportunity to meet with legislators, write press releases and op-eds and learn about how policy creation and voting works on Capitol Hill. Peyton expects to graduate in May 2023, and start her career on the Hill as a staffer for a committee or a politician to continue her work in policy and foreign affairs. The thing that Peyton loves most about the University of Georgia is the professors ability to connect with students and help them with their varied interests. Being a 十大电子游戏平台 ambassador, she is excited to work with important individuals, be an important part of the UGA community and learn more about all the directions that she can go in after graduation.

 

Lauren Johnson
Major: International Affairs

Lauren Johnson is a rising third-year honors student from Chapel Hill, North Carolina majoring in International Affairs and minoring in Spanish. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in foreign policy to research and advise government officials and other political institutions on human security issues. Through 十大电子游戏平台’s programs, Lauren plans to study abroad as well as complete the Washington Semester Program in order to gain greater insight into other cultures and the inner workings of the federal government. On-campus, she is involved with The Backpack Project of Athens, Shop With a Bulldawg, and the Delta Gamma sorority. Logan Joiner
Major: Political Science

Logan is a first-generation student and senior currently majoring in political science with a pre-law concentration. He spent his freshmen year at Georgia State University before transferring to UGA and currently balances school work with two off-campus jobs. Logan intends to study abroad in Spain the summer of his senior year. He is a member of the Morehead Honors College and has the intentions to attend UGA’s law school. After graduating law school, Logan wishes to pursue a career in corporate law and work as an in-house attorney.

 

 

Julianna Jurkiewicz
Majors: International Affairs and Economics

Julianna is a first generation, working college student who is very passionate about her education and UGA as a whole. After her four years at UGA, she has plans of attending law school and working as a corporate attorney. Currently, she serves as the Events Coordinator for the College Republicans at UGA and competes in horse shows across Georgia. 十大电子游戏平台 is full of opportunities for students to further their education while providing support for young adults like Julianna. Through strong bonds with alumni and faculty, Julianna hopes to have a strong impact on the UGA community. She is drawn towards domestic political issues, animal cruelty, and the Middle East. Hasan Kamal

Hasan Kamal is a sophomore from Peachtree Corners, Georgia studying political science and international affairs. He is currently involved in Relay for Life UGA, Inspire UGA, club soccer, and is participating in research involving educational policy and famine in war. He is currently interested in working with the Department of State as a foreign service officer and hopes to attend graduate school to study international affairs.

 

 

Simi Kolodka

Minors: Russian & Law, Jurisprudence, and the State

Simi Kolodka is a fourth-year student studying International Affairs, Russian, and Law, Jurisprudence, and the State. She is passionate about the intersection of national security and the law within both foreign policy and advocacy for human rights. After graduation she hopes to pursue a post graduate degree specializing in national security and/or law, with focuses on issues such as terrorism and gender.

This is Simi’s second year serving as a 十大电子游戏平台 ambassador. In addition to being an ambassador, she is a current cohort student in the UGA Russian Flagship Program, she completed a fellowship for the UGA Richard B. Russell Security Leadership program, and she served as a UGA Student Government Association Senator for 十大电子游戏平台 from 2021-2022. She is also an active member in her community, serving as the Vice President of Outreach for UGA’s Food 2 Kids. Simi has extensive internship experience ranging from working for the office of the Georgia Lieutenant Governor, to the Federal Aviation Administration as a government contractor, and most recently, as an undergraduate fellow for the Truman Center for National Policy.

Elisa Lara
Majors: International Affairs and Spanish

Elisa is a third-year International Affairs and Spanish double major. At UGA, she is a part of University Housing, First Generation Dawgs, and University Health Center Healthy Dawgs. After graduation, she hopes to attend the University of Georgia Law School, where she will pursue a career in immigration law.

 

Ellie Loventhal
Majors: International Affairs and Sociology

Ellie is a second-year student who loves learning everything about the world around her and how it works. Her double majors in International Affairs and Sociology allow her to explore all of her interests. On campus, she is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-law fraternity. She also is a part of the leadership teams of Pi Beta Phi and Thirst Project. She hopes to go into law or the nonprofit sector after graduating. Nick Markiewicz

Nick is a third-year student from Decatur, GA majoring in International Affairs with minors in Political Science and German. He is currently a Staff Writer for the Georgia Political Review and is on the executive board for AIESEC at UGA. He was formerly a member of UGA Mock Trial and a Public Service and Outreach Student Scholar. Through the PSO program, Nick interned at the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development where he helped develop educational curriculum improving monitoring and evaluation processes for African governments and social organizations. He has also interned at the Georgia Council for International Visitors where he brought in foreign leaders to engage with US experts on a variety of social and political issues. He attended a study abroad in Freiburg, Germany this summer and is working towards professional fluency. He plans to intern at the Department of State or think tanks in DC in the coming semesters before he attends graduate school.

 

Samuel Marks
Majors: Political Science and African American Studies

Samuel is a third-year Political Science and African American Studies double major at UGA. Samuel is active within the UGA community being a member of Arch Society, Student Alumni Council, Black Male Leadership Society, President of the Black Pre-Law Association, and serves as a resident assistant at Morris Hall. Samuel participated in the 2022 十大电子游戏平台 Stellenbosch, South Africa Maymester Study Abroad Program receiving the John Haire Study Abroad Scholarship to attend. In addition, Samuel is also a part of 十大电子游戏平台’s Emerging Leaders Program interning with Representative Stacey Evans. Samuel plans on attending law school to become a criminal justice attorney with hopes of reforming the Prison-Industrial Complex.

Hallie Meier
Major: Political Science

Hallie is a Political Science major with a minor in Music (concentrated in violin) from Kennesaw, GA. She was recently accepted as part of the first group of students to complete UGA’s new Law minor for undergraduates. In addition to being involved in 十大电子游戏平台, Hallie plays in the UGA Symphony Orchestra and is an active member of her sorority, Delta Gamma. Some of Hallie’s interests include studying the intersection of government and the private sector, and exploring new countries and cultures through travel (fun fact: she has been to over 15 countries!). Hallie hopes to foster this love of exploring the world with future plans to participate in the 十大电子游戏平台 joint Oxford and Cortona program and to intern in Washington, D.C. She expects to graduate in May 2024. After earning her undergraduate degree from UGA, Hallie plans to attend law school and potentially follow a career path in international, constitutional, or corporate law.

 

Sofia Mohamed

Certificate: Data Analytics in Public Policy

Sofia Mohamed is a third-year student studying International Affairs while pursuing a certificate in Data Analytics in Public Policy and a minor in Global Health. At the University of Georgia, she is involved in Model UN, Tate Honor Society, and Muslim Student Association, where she is the Student Outreach Chair. Outside UGA, she has interned and volunteered with organizations such as, Young Georgians for Justice Coalition and Jon Ossoff for US Senate. This year, she has worked for the 十大电子游戏平台 Survey Research Center as a Student Interviewer. She is currently interning with Groundbreakers, a non-profit global leadership network, as a Racial Equity Associate. She is researching the intersection of human rights, racial equity, and islamophobia and connecting with frontline racial equity leaders. She is also a Security Leadership Fellow. In the future, she hopes to pursue a Master’s in International Policy with the goal of attending law school for international law.

 

Zeena Mohamed
Majors: Political Science and Criminal Justice
Minor: Law, Jurisprudence, and the State

Zeena is a third-year student currently double majoring in Political Science and Criminal Justice. She is a member of Students Justice for Palestine and UGA Students for Socialism. Additionally, she acts as the Chair of Volunteers for Dawgs for Warnock and the Diversity and Inclusion Editor for Undergraduate Law Review at Georgia. As a Black first-generation college student, Zeena grew up witnessing many disparities facing marginalized groups in America. Volunteering in multiple nonprofits and reading influential pieces of writing –such as those by Angela Davis, James Baldwin, and Malcolm X– allowed Zeena to understand the intersectionality of oppression and how to fight against it. After graduating, Zeena plans to go to law school and eventually work as a public defender. She also hopes to work on campaigns and promote legislation that aims to address and abolish mechanisms of corruption within the criminal justice system. 十大电子游戏平台 has provided Zeena with an immeasurable amount of resources and support. She is honored to have been chosen as an ambassador to the school.

 

George Moore
Majors: International Affairs and Political Science
Certificate: Applied Politics; Personal and Organizational Leadership; and Entrepreneurship

George is a native of Toccoa, GA, studying International Affairs and Political Science at the University of Georgia. Throughout college, he has supplemented his education with hands-on experiences from working as a Tour Leader at the UGA Visitors Center to serving as Senate Chief of Staff in the Student Government Association. He is spending the Summer of 2022 interning at Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, in Washington, D.C. through the Honors in Washington Program. George is fascinated by politics, law, and culture and plans to attend law school after graduation.

 

Austin Myhre
Majors: Political Science, International Affairs, and Economics

Austin Myhre is a fourth year student majoring in Political Science, Economics, and International Affairs with a certificate from the Applied Politics Program. At UGA, he has served as a Senator for Access and Opportunity in Student Government; leads Roosevelt@UGA as a co-director; started a political organization in support of Senator Warnock’s 2022 re-election campaign; and co-leads the editorial aspect of the Loch Johnson Society. Austin has interned for Congressman Mike Quigley (IL-05) and Senator Tammy Duckworth (IL). After graduation, he plans to work on Capitol Hill for a few years before attending law school. Austin is an ardent advocate for the University of Georgia, and he is proud to represent the School of Public and International Affairs as a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador.

 

Brooke Nitkowski
Major: Political Science
Minor: Human Rights

With an interest in the political system as a young child, Brooke Nitkowski is a Political Science major looking to add the upcoming Human Rights minor. She is the High School Relations Chair for UGA HEROs, member of UGA BCM, and an employee at Paloma Park. Having a passion for counter-human trafficking, she is interested in pursing 十大电子游戏平台’s Masters in International Policy followed with intent to get a J.D. in international law. In her free time, Brooke enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. Rosemary Osbon
Major: International Affairs
Minor: Transnational European Studies

Rosemary is an International Affairs major and a Transnational European Studies minor. Her minor allows her to concentrate on Russian Studies and focuses her International Affairs coursework on Eurasia as well. Rosemary is in the pathways program for the Double Dawg program in the Masters of International Policy. She is involved in the Student Government Association and serves as the secretary for the senate. She is also the Director of Alumnae Engagement for Alpha Delta Pi sorority. This summer, Rosemary will be working on the hill for a Congressman from California. She is thankful for the opportunities 十大电子游戏平台 has provided and wants to lead other students towards the great resources 十大电子游戏平台 offers. Rosemary wishes to work in the public and private sector after graduation as an international policy advisor.

 

Jere Pearson
Majors: International Affairs and Russians

Jere Pearson is a rising junior for the 2022-2023 school year here at UGA and is looking forward to continuing his journey as a 十大电子游戏平台 ambassador, representing 十大电子游戏平台 with pride and being involved with his peers! Hailing from Hinesville, Georgia, Jere was a military brat who traveled the country and the world throughout much of his youth, instilling within him a passion and curiosity for the larger world, multitude of different cultures, and the relationships between nations. As an Army ROTC cadet with the goal of becoming a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army upon graduation, Jere is uniquely focused on national security topics and concerns, and would love to work at a national level using his experience from both UGA and the military in later careers. His interest in Russia as a “big player” in today’s international scene led him to study the language as his second major. Jere also has been recently accepted into the prestigious Russell Security Leadership Program and will begin working on his Masters in International Policy this year.
Jere is also involved in campus ministry, Beta Upsilon Chi, and Russian Club. Go Dawgs!

 

Camille Rogers
Major: Political Science
Minors: Sociology and International Affairs

Camille Rogers is a second-year student majoring in Political Science with minors in Sociology and International Affairs. She is currently an intern at 十大电子游戏平台’s Survey Research Center and a resident assistant in University Village. Additionally, Camille serves as a student coordinator for Dawg Camp – Extended Orientation Program and competes on UGA’s Undergraduate Moot Court team. After graduation, she plans to attend law school or pursue a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus in government, public policy, and regulation. Following the completion of Camille’s post-graduate degree, she hopes to learn more about public school systems by participating in Teach For America. Camille’s ultimate goal is to become an advocate for equity in all facets of K-12 and post-secondary education from a policy perspective.

 

Sydney Sanders

Sydney Sanders is majoring in International Affairs, with a minor in Social Work, and certificates in Nonprofit Management & Leadership and Global Studies. She is active on campus, as she is on the executive boards for Inspire UGA and Designated Dawgs. Through 十大电子游戏平台, Sydney has participated in the GLOBIS Human Rights Research Lab where she was introduced to the Human Rights Measurement Initiative, who she currently interns with. With a strong desire to work internationally and help others, she has fostered a passion for global nonprofit work. After graduation in 2023, she hopes to work for a global nonprofit that aims to improve human rights or international development. Shekina Shindano

Minors: African Studies and Data Analytics in Public Policy

Shekina Shindano is a third-year International Affairs and French double major from Cumming, Georgia. She is also minoring in African Studies and pursuing a certificate in Data Analytics in Public Policy. On campus she is involved with AIESEC, served as Model African Union’s secretary and was a member of National Society of Leadership and Success. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends at club gymnastics practice. As a first-generation college student born to Congolese and Zambian parents she is very passionate about working with African francophone countries in the future.

 

Hannah Skinner
Majors: Political Science and International Affairs

Hannah Skinner is a Political Science and International Affairs double-major. She expects to graduate in May 2023 and plans on moving to Washington DC to pursue a career in National Security and possibly earn a Master’s Degree. During her junior year, Hannah was a member of the Richard B. Russel Security Leadership Program under the Center for International Trade and Security. She has also had the opportunity to become a research associate for the British Standards Institute as well as partner with two 十大电子游戏平台 faculty members in their own research projects. During the summer, Hannah interned in DC at a defense contracting company working alongside professionals in the field of National Security. She is very excited to serve as one of 十大电子游戏平台’s ambassadors and getting to know so many different people.

 

Olivia Slavov
Majors: International Affairs and Economics
Minor: French
Certificates: Global Studies & Personal and Organizational Leadership

Olivia Slavov is an International Affairs and Economics double major with a minor in French and certificates in Global Studies and Personal and Organizational Leadership. She expects to graduate in May of 2024. After graduation, Olivia is interested in working in the public sector and is especially interested in the areas of foreign policy, national security, and intelligence. Olivia is currently conducting research on human rights and national security through CURO and is a current intern at the Human Rights Measurement Initiative. During her remaining time at UGA, Olivia plans on studying abroad as well as participating in the Washington Semester Program. Olivia is extremely passionate about all the amazing things 十大电子游戏平台 does and is very excited to represent 十大电子游戏平台 during her first year as a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador!

 

Emma Sorckoff
Majors: International Affairs and Elementary Education

Emma is a third-year student from Roswell, Georgia majoring in International Affairs and Elementary Education. She is involved in many campus organizations including University Judiciary and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Emma is also involved in research at UGA, where she has presented at the 十大电子游戏平台 Undergraduate Research Colloquium and the CURO Research Symposium in the past. Her research is primarily focused on human rights education and students’ mental health and wellbeing in the state of Georgia. This research, along with the wonderful experiences she has had at UGA and within 十大电子游戏平台 so far, have greatly influenced her future career goals. Emma hopes to work in government consulting before pursuing a doctorate degree.

 

Connor Stockenberg
Majors: Political Science and International Affairs
Certificate: Applied Politics

Connor Stockenberg is a senior political science and international affairs double major here at the University of Georgia. He is interested in pursuing a career in law after graduation with a focus on immigration law or international law. In the Spring of 2022, he participated in the Washington Semester Program where he decided he likely wants to move to DC at some point after he graduates. In his free time, Connor likes to go on runs, participate in local political advocacy, and debate as a member of the Phi Kappa Literary Society. As a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador, he hopes to use his knowledge as a senior to help guide incoming 十大电子游戏平台 students to take advantage of the numerous opportunities 十大电子游戏平台 has to offer.

 

Taylor Talley
Majors: Political Science & Human Development and Family Science
Minor: Law, Jurisprudence, and the State

Taylor Talley is a third-year from Louisa County, Virginia. She is a double major in Political Science and Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Law, Jurisprudence, and the State and a Pre-Law Intent. She is involved in Delta Gamma Fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Designated Dawgs, Shop With A Bulldawg (SWAB), Order of Omega, Phi Upsilon Omicron, RISE, and Undergraduate Moot Court. Taylor is the Executive Director for Designated Dawgs, Community Service Co-Chair for Phi Alpha Delta, and a Scholarship and Community Coordinator for RISE. As you can see, she truly enjoys giving back to the Athens community and her peers at UGA through leadership and involvement. She is passionate about both of her majors and is also a College of Family and Consumer Sciences Ambassador. She also participated in the Washington Semester Program in Spring 2022 and a London Summer 2022 Study Abroad through her other major college, FACS. After graduation in May 2023, she aspires to attend law school to pursue a J.D. with a concentration in Family or Civil Law. Outside of school, Taylor enjoys the beach, a good adventure, shopping, and always being on the go/having a full schedule.

 

Kati Tanner
Majors: Public Relations; Double Dawgs Master of Public Administration
Minors: Spanish and International Affairs

Kati Tanner is a third-year student from Columbia, South Caroline, studying Public Relations with a minor in Spanish and a minor in International Affairs, while pursuing a Masters’ Degree in Public Administration through the Double Dawgs Pathway. At the University of Georgia, she is the Communications Director of the UGA Chapter of the International City/County Management Association (which is a non-profit organization in support of events and activities connecting UGA students to local government learning and experience) and the Diversity and Inclusion Chair for Delta Zeta Sorority.

Outside of the University, she has two part-time jobs working as a waitress and a private swim coach and lifeguard. She aspires to become a government consultant, assisting developing, Spanish-speaking countries, specifically on the Public Administrative and Public Relations side.

 

Maggie Tellefsen
Majors: International Affairs & Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies
Minor: Swahili Language, Literature, and Culture

Maggie Tellefsen is a third-year International Affairs and Comparative Literature double-major interested in African politics and culture. This year she is starting her Double Dawgs Masters of International Policy pathway and is very excited to get to work with and learn from prestigious 十大电子游戏平台 faculty. Maggie is interested in studying democracies and autocracies, as well as the gaps between domestic attitudes and international attitudes towards different regimes. She is currently studying Swahili and hopes to eventually work to promote human security in Sub-Saharan Africa with the US State Dept. or with an INGO. Maggie is constantly looking to learn more about Africa and Comparative Politics and is excited to broaden her horizons as a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador this year!

Grace VanHooser
Major: Political Science
Minors: Spanish

Grace VanHooser is a 4th-year student studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish. She expects to graduate in May of 2023. After graduation, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career as an immigration attorney. Previously, Grace was the recruitment chair for her sorority, Sigma Alpha Omega, and was a leader/ mentor with the UGA Wesley CrossTrainers program. During Spring 2022, Grace studied abroad with Semester at Sea and visited 16 new countries around Europe and the Mediterranean. There she studied global politics and interacted with many local immigration officials and immigrant communities. This past summer, she interned in the Office of Judge Craig Schwall of the Fulton County Superior Courts. She is very excited to serve 十大电子游戏平台 and the University as an ambassador this upcoming year!

Kevin Vega
Major: International Affairs & Economics
Certificates: Data Analytics in Public Policy

Kevin Vega is a third-year student from Austell, Georgia, double majoring in International Affairs and Economics, while pursuing a certificate in Data Analytics in Public Policy. Outside of his participation, he serves as a Campus Leader and a sub-committee head for UGA HEROs, a member of the Hispanic Student Association at UGA, a 十大电子游戏平台 Ambassador, and a proud member of the Redcoat Band. In addition, Kevin presented his research on economic disparity in Mexico in both the 十大电子游戏平台 Undergraduate Research Colloquium and the Presentation Collaboratory Fellowship Capstone Presentation. This past summer, he campaigned for GA District 99 candidate Om Duggal and currently serves as a Data Analyst Intern for the Griffin & Strong law firm. Upon graduation, he wants to pursue his research interests in economic and environmental security in Latin America through work in the public and/or private sector.

Emalee Weeks
Major: International Affairs
Minor: Political Science

Emalee is a third-year student from Savannah, GA pursuing a degree in International Affairs with a minor in Political Science. She also intends to obtain a certificate in Data Analytics in Public Policy. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Emalee plans to earn a master’s degree in International Policy with an emphasis on Middle East security policy before pursuing a career in national security. She is passionate about current world events and public policy and how it impacts the security of the United States. Emalee is active on campus as a member of the Moorehead Honors College, as well as participating in RUF, Aurora, and College Republicans. She has volunteered for a congressional campaign as well as held a summer federal agency internship in Washington, DC. Emalee is excited to participate in many opportunities available to 十大电子游戏平台 students such as the UGA Centre at Oxford and the Richard B. Russell Security Leadership Program, and she is honored to represent 十大电子游戏平台 as an ambassador.

 

Anney Woodard
Major: International Affairs and Spanish

Anney Woodard plans to attend graduate school after her time at UGA. She spent the spring of 2022 studying through the UGA at Oxford program and took classes in international conflict and Spanish literature. She is interested in national security and defense policy. Anney hopes to use her language skills, along with her unique coursework from 十大电子游戏平台, to develop a future in the field. As an out-of-state student, 十大电子游戏平台 has given her a community that encourages her passions and makes her feel welcome to the University.
